• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48-hour weeks available)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Floating: May float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (or pending license with ETA)
• BLS certification (AHA) – pending accepted if willing to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience required (2 years preferred)
• Availability for the first 8 days of assignment required
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team (RNs, LPNs, Techs)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted with documentation)
• Professional references required

RN Responsibilities – Medical/Surgical Unit

• Deliver high-quality patient care to a diverse medical and surgical population
• Provide specialized nursing care for gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgeries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed to support hospital staffing
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies
• Complete orientation and required training modules
• Deliver patient-centered care with a staffing ratio of 1:5-6 (may flex to 1:8 with LPN support)
