• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts/week)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (South Carolina nursing jobs)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred for travel nurse jobs)
• Completion of at least one assignment with your current healthcare agency

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with families and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic medical records
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct clinical care using the nursing process
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure continuity and safety
• Supervise and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment for patients and staff, following hospital safety policies
• Contribute to positive team dynamics and participate in unit team-building activities
• Identify opportunities for professional growth and pursue continuing education in nursing
