Shift: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:30)

Patient Ratio: 1:6
Charting System: EPIC (recent experience required)
Scrub Color: Any (no logos)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification (assistance available)
Recent EPIC charting experience (within last 6 months)
Experience with orthopedic and medical-surgical patient populations
Ability to float to units of equal or lesser acuity
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local traveler rule)
First-time travel nurses welcome!

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 35-bed Med/Surg-Ortho unit
Manage a patient load of up to 6 patients per shift
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy
Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and charting
Float to other medical-surgical units as needed
Participate in orientation and complete required modules onsite
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Support patient care technicians and coordinate with a free-floating charge nurse
