Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Baltimore, MD 21201 (Maryland nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) – Surgical Nursing
• Start Date: February 2, 2026
• End Date: May 4, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: 36 hours of call per 6 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 1 weekend per month
• Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday per contract if needed
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Unit: 9 operating rooms

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact State (Maryland RN jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Ability to float within perioperative units as needed
• 2 satisfactory professional references (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub for diverse surgical procedures: thoracic, surgical pathology, pediatric PACU/OR, trauma, ortho/spine, vascular, plastics, and general surgery
• Administer blood and blood products safely
• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
• Utilize Epic for accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in call rotation; provide weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Float to perioperative units as required
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, adaptability, and effective communication in a fast-paced clinical environment
