Maryland Nursing Job Details

• Location: Randallstown, MD 21133 (Baltimore area)
• Unit: 3A/3B Geriatric Respiratory Stroke – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Contract Length: 14 weeks (Start: 1/19/2026 – End: 4/27/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification (required)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred)
• 4 hours of annual stroke CEUs (required)
• Proficiency in EKG, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Experience with Cerner charting system (preferred)
• Professional references required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings; manage dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy)
• Care for patients admitted from the ED, including those meeting Med/Surg Tele criteria and COVID-19 patients
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
• Float within the hospital as needed, within RN scope of practice
• Participate in ongoing nursing education and complete required annual CEUs
• Follow hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards
