• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6
• Setting: On-site hospital

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active RN license (Indiana or Compact State) required prior to start date
• BCLS certification required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Experience precepting or mentoring nursing students in a teaching hospital
• Flexible with weekend scheduling (expected to work 50% of weekends)
• Charting experience with Cerner preferred
• Two supervisor references required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular and peripheral vascular surgical patients, including those with arrhythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation, and overflow cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage IVs, and deliver pre/post cardiac surgery care
• Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and follow heparin protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy)
• Float to various units, adapting to different patient populations and acuity levels
• Participate in charge nurse duties with training and support
• Mentor students and new staff as part of the teaching hospital environment
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and shift adjustments
