Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Kingsport, TN 37660 (Tennessee healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/18/2026 – End: 4/19/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (18:30 – 07:00)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; every other weekend required
• Unit: Medical Surgical (HV A300)
• Patient Ratio: 1:7
• Orientation: 16 hours (includes online modules)
• Floating: Required to other units as needed
• No On-Call

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state; must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing experience
• AHA BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Ability to complete compliance and drug testing prior to start
• Facial hair must comply with CDC fit testing guidelines
• Open to first-time travel nurses

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adolescent and adult patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit
• Perform clinical tasks: blood product administration, central line and PICC management, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, colostomy and feeding tube care
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; respond to rapid response and code teams
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Support nursing students and participate in clinical education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic (preferred)
