Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Telemetry or acute care RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• PCU or Cardiac Telemetry nursing experience required (must be shown in work history)
• Experience caring for stroke patients and managing vasoactive drips
• Active Registered Nurse license (pending license accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Nicotine-free (negative nicotine/cotinine drug screen required)
• Ability to pass EKG and Pharmacology tests during orientation (2 attempts max)
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• All requested time off must be submitted up front

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including cardiac and stroke cases
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias
• Administer and monitor vasoactive drips (no titration required)
• Provide care for patients with central and peripheral lines
• Administer blood products and oxygen therapy
• Utilize rapid response and code teams appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
• Float to other units or hospitals within scope as needed
• Complete time-sensitive onboarding modules
