Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Clinton, Maryland 20735
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 26, 2026 – End: April 27, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele), 38 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Floating: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR charting
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two supervisor references required

RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
• Perform phlebotomy, wound care, and manage feeding tubes, PICC lines, and peritoneal dialysis
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to and during assignment
