Duration: 13-week nursing contract
Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (18:45 – 07:15)
Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours or alternating 36/48 hours per week)
Patient Ratios: Up to 6:1
Orientation: 16 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
BLS certification (required)
NIHSS certification (preferred)
Cerner charting experience (preferred)
Willingness to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units as assigned
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
COVID-19 vaccine not required
Travelers must reside outside a 50-mile radius from Odessa

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Med/Surg Tele unit
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to other Med/Surg/Tele units as needed
Maintain accurate and timely charting using Cerner (preferred)
Comply with all hospital policies and procedures
