Job Details – Labor & Delivery RN Travel Contract

Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Montclair, New Jersey 07042
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
Start Date: January 19, 2026
End Date: April 20, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit

Qualifications – Registered Nurse Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP
Epic charting experience preferred
Multi-facility Labor & Delivery or travel nursing experience preferred
Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Assist with high-risk deliveries and vaginal births
Circulate and provide support for C-sections and surgical procedures
Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients
Administer medications and therapies (magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, antihypertensives)
Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and manage isolation precautions/PPE
Utilize intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration
Document patient care using Epic EMR (preferred)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
