• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30); options for 3x12 or 4x12 block schedule
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Scrubs: Blue scrubs provided
• Documentation: EPIC charting system
• First-time Travel Nurses: Accepted

NICU RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent NICU Registered Nurse experience
• Active RN license (New Jersey or compact state)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with EPIC documentation preferred
• Proficient in arterial line management, central line care, neonatal dosage calculations, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and tube placement/management
• Ability to care for neonates 29-34 weeks and manage Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
• Travel nurses must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Montclair, NJ

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates and infants in a Level III/IV NICU setting
• Monitor and manage ventilators, arterial and central lines, and feeding tubes
• Administer medications and perform neonatal dosage calculations
• Implement isolation precautions and manage Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome cases
• Document patient care using the EPIC healthcare charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled
