Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Newnan, Georgia 30265 (Coweta County)
• Assignment Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts per week (06:45 - 19:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (Med Surg 5/6A)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Orientation: 48 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Registered Nurse experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Experience in community hospital or LTAC settings preferred
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
• Ability to float within facility as needed
• Compliance with healthcare facility onboarding and orientation

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical and surgical diagnoses (stroke, COPD, AKI, chest pain, diabetes, COVID-19, pneumonia, and more)
• Administer medications, manage peripheral lines, and provide oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen tanks)
• Monitor and interpret telemetry as needed
• Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response)
• Participate in rapid response/code teams
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays per assignment requirements
