• Setting: Acute care interventional telemetry medical surgical unit
• Unit: Surgical Urology (30 beds, private/semi-private rooms)
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Duration: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Charting: EPIC EMR
• Start Date: January 26, 2026

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio or compact state
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin protocols, and post-op checks
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Must reside more than 100 miles from central Columbus (travel nurse eligibility)

Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a surgical urology setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; manage cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Perform post-operative checks and manage surgical drains, foleys, PCA, epidurals, and neph tubes
• Administer medications including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, and ketamine drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Document patient care in EPIC EMR
• Float to other medical surgical units as needed
• Maintain isolation precautions and perform wound care/wound vac management
• Participate in self-scheduling and cover every other weekend/holiday
