- Start Date: January 19, 2026
- End Date: April 20, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 3x12 hour nights (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday
- Charting System: Experience with both Cerner and EPIC charting systems required
- Floating: May float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Michigan or compact state (or willing to participate in licensure project)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted if obtained prior to start)
- Experience with both Cerner and EPIC charting systems required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 (may be up to 1:7 during call-ins)
- Completion of up to 8 hours of pre-start modules required
RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Med/Surg Tele unit, including trauma, post-bariatric, post-abdominal, post-amputation, urological, and cardiac overflow cases
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform wound care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner and EPIC electronic health records
- Float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as required by census
- Maintain professional conduct and adhere to all facility policies and procedures
