- Unit: 3N Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit (54 beds)
- Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
- Start Date: January 19, 2026
- End Date: April 20, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours/week (Guaranteed)
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
- Charting System: Cerner Powerchart
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Michigan or willing to participate in licensure project
- At least 1 year of recent Telemetry or Cardiovascular nursing experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted if obtained before start)
- Experience with Cerner or EPIC electronic charting systems
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as needed
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy cardiac telemetry unit
- Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions: heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain
- Administer cardiac drips (no titration), perform telemetry monitoring, and respond to rapid response/code situations
- Perform central and peripheral line care, wound care, and post-cardiac procedure management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and professional nursing standards
- Float to similar units as required based on census and staffing needs
- Complete orientation (16 hours) and required pre-start modules (up to 8 hours)
