Medical/Surgical RN Job Details

- Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
- Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 1/26/2026, End: 5/4/2026)

- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Bed Count: 33 beds, average daily census of 28
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Yes, as needed with regular staff rotation
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or Compact State (required at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to manage a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Clinical skills in blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, remote telemetry, IV management, and post-op care
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
Medical/Surgical RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, post-op, wound care, and bariatrics
- Monitor and interpret remote telemetry; respond to rapid response/code teams as needed
- Administer medications, manage IVs, perform phlebotomy and PICC line care
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services)
- Float to other units as required and participate in regular staff rotations
- Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays per assignment requirements
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and complete required orientation and training modules
