Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Fargo, North Dakota (58104)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 2, 2026 – June 1, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: 32-bed Medical-Specialty Unit (Med/Surg)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts; rotating days/nights as needed
• Hours: 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday required
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or compact state
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to float to all Med/Surg units across three Fargo campuses as needed
• Travelers must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate full scope of nursing expertise using age- and population-specific standards
• Provide care for a wide range of adult medical/surgical patients, including those with behavioral health needs
• Utilize clinical equipment: EPIC EMR, telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, Omnicell
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights)
• Float to other Med/Surg units as required to support patient care across campuses
• Comply with facility policies, including navy blue scrubs and proper badging procedures
