Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing
Location: Quincy, Illinois (62301) – Illinois nursing jobs
Unit: 18-bed blended unit (Pediatrics & Adult Female Med/Surg)
Contract Type: Travel RN contract
Start Date: January 19, 2026
End Date: April 20, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
Charting System: Allscripts (transitioning to EPIC in March)
Medication System: Acudose

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
COVID-19 vaccination required
Pediatric nursing experience preferred but not required

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality clinical care to pediatric and adult female patients in a blended Med/Surg unit
Collaborate with fellow RNs and CNAs to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Respond to census changes, especially during winter respiratory virus season
Document patient care accurately using Allscripts and EPIC EMR systems
Safely administer medications and treatments via Acudose
Support decentralized staffing and contribute to a positive team environment
