• Location: Kearney, NE 68845 (Nebraska nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: Acute Care – Phase 2 PACU (Pre/Post Outpatient Surgeries)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: December 28, 2025
• End Date: March 29, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (08:00 – 20:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Charting System: EPIC
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Facility Features: 5 Operating Rooms, 4 ICU beds, 40 patient beds
• On-call: Some call may be required

PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or acute care nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• EPIC charting experience preferred

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in Phase 2 PACU for pre- and post-operative outpatient surgeries
• Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia and respond to changes in condition
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed
