Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Operating Room RN
• Healthcare Setting: Main Operating Room, Level I Trauma Center, Academic Teaching Facility
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (08:30 – 21:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: Up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Up to one weekend shift every 4 weeks
• Holiday Requirement: At least one major holiday period during assignment
• Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Charting System: EPIC
• Parking: On-site garage parking available for a nominal fee

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license (required before start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (2 years preferred)
• BLS certification required
• Radiation badge (provided by agency)
• Experience in Level I Trauma Center preferred
• Scrub nurse experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work on-call, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• First-time travel nurses accepted

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, 21-suite operating room
• Circulate and scrub for diverse surgical specialties: trauma, transplant, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, robotics, and pediatric cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergent surgical needs
• Float to similar units as needed to support patient care
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a nurse-driven department
