• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/19/2026 – End: 4/20/2026)
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) / Surgery Unit
• Shift: Day shifts, 5x8-hour (07:00 – 15:30), Monday–Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call Requirement: 10 days/month, including every third weekend and 2–3 weeknights. Holiday call as needed.
• Float Requirement: May float to Same Day Surgery Unit

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative nursing)
• PACU experience preferred
• Active RN license (Compact or Tennessee RN license)
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Epic charting experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on profile)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 only)
• Ability to pass a fit test (men must be clean-shaven)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for diverse surgical cases: C-sections, hernia repairs, laparoscopic procedures, hysteroscopies, orthopedic cases, podiatry, and pain management
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment (Bovie machines, laparoscopic towers, Stryker Surgicount system)
• Ensure accurate specimen handling and labeling
• Monitor patients and respond to emergency codes as needed
• Follow infection control, fire safety, laser safety, and radiation safety protocols
• Float to Same Day Surgery Unit as required
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
