• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) — Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job
• Location: Orangeburg, SC 29118 (Orangeburg, South Carolina)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nurse contract)
• Start Date: March 10, 2026
• End Date: June 9, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (3 West) — Cardiac telemetry / medical-surgical
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: No
• Float: Yes, within scope as needed
• Charting System: Epic EMR (Epic charting experience preferred)
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: No-cost parking

Required Qualifications — Med/Surg Telemetry RN

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation)
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start) — SC nursing jobs compliant
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Core clinical skills: telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV therapy/ peripheral IV management, oxygen administration (including nasal cannula)
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and renal failure care a plus
• Preferred: Epic EMR experience and community hospital experience
• Travel: First-time travelers welcome — ideal travel nurse opportunity

Key Responsibilities — Telemetry Nurse / Travel RN

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Continuously monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, interpret dysrhythmias, and escalate per protocol
• Perform focused assessments, develop/update individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and therapies, manage IV access, and support oxygen therapy as ordered
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response
• Float to other units as needed while practicing within RN scope and demonstrated competency
