Healthcare Accounts Payable Clerk Job Details

• Location: Staten Island, NY 10310 (On-Site) – New York healthcare jobs
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8 hours per day
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Assignment Duration: Approximately 15 weeks, with potential for extension
• Start Date: Monday, December 29th (preferred) or Monday, January 5th
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $689 - $766

Accounts Payable Clerk Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable, finance, or accounting jobs
• High School Diploma required; college degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Workday accounting software is required
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills
• Ability to manage high-volume phone activity and maintain organized department files
• Experience resolving vendor issues with Purchasing and other healthcare departments
• Must be able to work on-site five days a week (no hybrid or remote options)

Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Match purchase orders and receipts to invoices
• Enter data into the Workday accounting system
• Prepare payment runs and reconcile vendor statements
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Assist with month-end closing activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Identify and resolve vendor issues in coordination with Purchasing and other healthcare departments
