• Location: Barberton, Ohio (44203) – Akron area healthcare jobs
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (1/26/2026 – 4/25/2026)
• Shift: 4x10 hour days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On Call: Required – 1 day every week or every other week, every 5th or 6th weekend
• Employment Type: Travel healthcare contract
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,840

OR Tech – First Assist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited First Assisting program
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification required
• BCLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work flexible hours
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety
• Physical ability for extended standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with the perioperative healthcare team

OR Tech – First Assist Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures: exposure, hemostasis, suturing, tissue manipulation, wound closure, and dressing application
• Collaborate with the surgical and clinical support teams; communicate effectively across departments
• Ensure patient safety and quality care throughout surgical procedures
• Maintain current knowledge of healthcare and nursing practices related to surgical patient care
• Support a respectful, dignified environment for patients and families
