Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Vineland, New Jersey (Zip: 08360)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Stepdown & Emergency Department Holds
• Contract Length: 8 weeks, with possible extension
• Start Date: February 9, 2026
• Nursing Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; 1 holiday per contract if needed
• On-Site Nursing Position
• Hourly Pay Rate: $86.49

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient nursing experience
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Emergency Department (ED) experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
• Ability to complete all required orientation modules and in-person classes
• Maximum 3 days of requested time off (RTO) during contract

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Float between Cardiac Stepdown and Emergency Department Holds to deliver high-quality patient care
• Manage stepdown and acute care patients, ensuring safe transitions and continuous monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient needs
• Accurately document patient information using Cerner charting system
• Participate in required orientation and training sessions, including HealthStream modules and in-person classes
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including timely badge acquisition for clock-ins
