Surgical First Assist Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in endoscopic vein harvest and robotics
• High School diploma
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Assistant program
• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Certification must be obtained prior to agency submission
• Previous clinical experience preferred

OR Tech Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during cardiac and non-cardiac procedures, including patient positioning, retraction, suturing, dressing application, and skin closure
• Prepare operating room with all necessary surgical equipment before procedures
• Maintain sterile technique throughout all surgeries
• Support room turnover and restock surgical supplies
• Collaborate with the charge nurse for assignments and serve as a resource for surgical procedures
• Maintain active certification as a Surgical First Assist
• Participate in scheduled on-call shifts
