Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (BSN preferred)
• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Strong clinical skills: IV placement, vital signs, medication administration, patient assessment, wound care
• Excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
• Comfortable floating and providing task-based clinical support as needed (e.g., vitals, IVs, triage calls)

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and coordinate nursing care in accordance with established clinical standards and hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes on the inpatient Med/Surg unit
• Perform nursing procedures and documentation consistent with Med/Surg nursing best practices
• Float to other units as needed to provide task-based support (no full patient assignment when floating)
• Contribute to a positive patient experience and support efficient unit flow during the night shift
