Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks — Travel RN assignment
• Start Date: February 2, 2026
• End Date: May 3, 2026
• Setting: Med/Surg Acute & Sub-Acute Unit (25 beds) — Med/Surg RN / Telemetry RN role
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts; 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week); every other weekend and holiday required. Some weeks may include an additional 8-hour shift.
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2250 - $2370 (Travel nursing pay)
• Documentation System: Epic-ClinDoc (EPIC experience required)
• Medication System: Pyxis with Epic

Job Requirements

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license (or proof of application with applied date)
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in Med/Surg Telemetry (Telemetry RN / Med/Surg RN)
• Prior travel nursing experience required (Travel RN experience preferred)
• Charge nurse experience required; will perform charge duties regularly
• EPIC documentation experience within the past 2 years (required)
• Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS must be completed prior to start)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation available)
• Professional appearance required; scrubs in any color

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for adults (ages 17–104) with chronic disease exacerbations, acute infections, and varying acuity levels — Med/Surg and Telemetry patient care
• Perform IV therapy, EKGs, telemetry monitoring and interpretation, respiratory treatments, and COVID patient care
• Serve as charge nurse regularly — coordinate patient assignments, staffing, and unit flow
• Collaborate with ancillary staff (CNA/LNA, PCT, LPN, unit clerk) and advanced practice providers (PA, NP, MD)
• Use Epic-ClinDoc for electronic documentation and Pyxis for medication administration
• Complete a 1–2 day orientation and adapt to posted rotation schedules
• Maintain professional standards, support a positive team environment, and contribute to unit quality and safety initiatives
