Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Akron, Ohio (44307) – Ohio nursing jobs
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/13/2026 – End: 5/15/2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 17:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Orientation: 16 hours
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent CVOR RN experience required
- Scrub experience and open heart scrub experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (permanent or compact state)
- One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in CVOR specialty required
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation (2 attempts maximum)
- Ability to work at least every other holiday
- Must be able to take 1-2 weekday call shifts and 1 full weekend (24hrs Saturday and 24hrs Sunday) per 6 weeks
- Required certifications must be active with nothing pending
CVOR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, assisting with open heart and vascular procedures
- Scrub and circulate during complex surgical cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and assess patient status throughout surgical procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols
- Participate in orientation and ongoing competency assessments
- Demonstrate flexibility by working call shifts and holiday rotations as needed
