Healthcare Job Details

• Location: Pasadena, Texas (77504) – Greater Houston area
• Setting: Main Hospital, 1st Floor, 10-bed Operating Room Unit
• Contract Type: Travel healthcare contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 01/19/2026 – End: 04/20/2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1320 - $1420
• On-Call: Required for nights, weekends, and holidays (30-minute response time)
• Scrub Color: Hunter Green

Operating Room Technician Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) or First Assist
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) certification
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Proficient in circulating general surgery, robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, gynecology, and vascular procedures for adult and pediatric patients
• Labor and delivery experience (vaginal deliveries, c-sections)
• Strong communication skills and openness to feedback

OR Tech Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures, including general, robotic, neurosurgical, orthopedic, ENT, urology, gynecological, and vascular cases
• Support labor and delivery cases as needed
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced surgical equipment (Da Vinci Xi, Velys Robot)
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to main OR for general surgery, OB/GYN, urology, and robotics when vascular/heart cases are not booked
• Participate in on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
