Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Berlin, Vermont (05602) – central Vermont living and Vermont travel nursing opportunities
• Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
• Facility Setting: Acute Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit (51 beds, Trauma Level 3)
• Start Date: February 16, 2026
• End Date: June 7, 2026
• Duration: 16 weeks (extensions may be considered based on facility needs)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (Telemetry RN / Med-Surg RN)
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Average Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2250 - $2370
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Yes
• Floating: Required to similar units (infrequent)
• Documentation System: Epic EMR (recent Epic experience required)
• Parking: Free onsite

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Vermont or Compact RN license accepted
• Minimum 5 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience OR 3 years dedicated Telemetry experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required (at least 2 travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities OR prior UVMHN acute care experience)
• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 2 years
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS must be completed prior to start)
• Telemetry certification preferred; Peripheral IV insertion skills preferred
• Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended (limited public transit; vehicle with all-season or snow tires advised Nov–Apr)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult Med-Surg and telemetry patients with diverse diagnoses (post-op ortho, urology, GI, COPD, CHF, diabetes, dementia, palliative/end-of-life)
• Apply, interpret, and respond to telemetry monitoring as a Telemetry RN
• Perform NG tube placement and peripheral IV insertions when appropriate
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members including RNs, LPNs, LNAs, and ancillary staff
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Float to similar units as needed and participate in weekend/holiday rotations
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to facility dress code (scrubs provided or bring your own)
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment in a tight-knit community
