CT Technologist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
• Eligible for ARRT registry and/or NJ State Board of Examiners certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in Computerized Tomography (CT) procedures
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging techniques
• Understanding of radiation safety and protection standards
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform required tasks
• Ability to work in various lighting conditions and with hazardous materials/equipment
• GE CT scanner experience preferred

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and Computerized Tomographic procedures following hospital, state, and federal guidelines
• Accurately document and manage images in PACS (Picture Archiving Communication System)
• Interview patients to gather clinical history and relevant information
• Educate patients and families about CT procedures and safety
• Maintain thorough and compliant patient care documentation
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and data collection
• Support the physical and psychological well-being of patients during imaging procedures
• Stay current with professional development and maintain required certifications
• Attend staff and department meetings as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Diagnostic Imaging department
