Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Green Bay, WI 54311 (Wisconsin nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU & Maternity, Primary Stroke Center
- Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (16 beds, high census)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 19, 2026
- End Date: April 18, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (0700-1930), 36 hours/week
- Employment Type: Travel RN contract
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend or as needed
- Holiday Coverage: 50% of holidays during contract
- Parking: Free on-site parking
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Skilled in cardiac rhythm interpretation, TR bands, post-cath femoral monitoring, IV starts, Foley catheter care, NG tube management, and wound care
- Experience with non-titrating drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, nitroglycerin, heparin
- Proficient in EPIC EMR documentation
- Ability to float to PCU/ICU for Telemetry patients within scope of practice
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiothoracic and medical diagnoses (post-cath, post-TAVR, CHF, MI, arrhythmias, post-bariatric surgeries, COPD, GI bleeds, infections, and more)
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, initiate Tikosyn therapy, and manage non-titrating drips
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, resource nurses, SWAT RNs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
- Utilize EPIC EMR and GE bedside monitors for patient documentation and monitoring
- Participate in continuous EEG monitoring for stable seizure patients
- Float to other nursing units as needed within RN scope of practice
- Follow unit protocols, including scrub color guidelines (solid colors only, no graphics/designs/hoodies)
- Engage in orientation and ongoing healthcare training
