• Shift: 4x12 Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Float Requirement: May float to similar units or affiliate hospitals
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Charting System: Cerner Powerchart

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Cardiac Registered Nurse experience
• Active RN license (Michigan or compact state, or willing to obtain)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted)
• Experience with Cerner charting required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:5-7

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, including heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, and chest pain
• Monitor patients on cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and vasoactive medications
• Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, wound care, tracheostomy management, and feeding tube care
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ABGs, and oxygen therapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response
• Float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to unit and hospital policies
