Homecare RN Job Details
- Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256 (Southeast Indianapolis)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hours per Week: 40
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Territory: Travel up to 75 miles from home clinic
- Mileage Reimbursement: IRS Standard Rate (from patient home to patient home)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana (must have license in hand)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Adult Home Health or Hospice nursing experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR and OASIS (recent use or willingness to retrain)
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to travel up to 75 miles from assigned care center
- Open to on-call rotations (every 3–4 weeks)
- Ability to complete documentation within 24 hours of patient visits
Homecare RN Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver home health nursing care according to physician orders and agency policies
- Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses
- Conduct home visits for start of care, wound care, follow-up visits, and skilled nursing services
- Manage a daily caseload of 5–10 patients, averaging 30 productivity points per week
- Participate in office meetings and weekly clinic check-ins
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation using HCHB and OASIS
- Maintain high standards of patient care and compliance with agency protocols
- Adapt to varying patient needs and travel requirements within the designated territory
