Homecare RN Job Details

• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256 (Southeast Indianapolis)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Territory: Travel up to 75 miles from home clinic
• Mileage Reimbursement: IRS Standard Rate (from patient home to patient home)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana (must have license in hand)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Adult Home Health or Hospice nursing experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR and OASIS (recent use or willingness to retrain)
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Ability to travel up to 75 miles from assigned care center
• Open to on-call rotations (every 3–4 weeks)
• Ability to complete documentation within 24 hours of patient visits

Homecare RN Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver home health nursing care according to physician orders and agency policies
• Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses
• Conduct home visits for start of care, wound care, follow-up visits, and skilled nursing services
• Manage a daily caseload of 5–10 patients, averaging 30 productivity points per week
• Participate in office meetings and weekly clinic check-ins
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation using HCHB and OASIS
• Maintain high standards of patient care and compliance with agency protocols
• Adapt to varying patient needs and travel requirements within the designated territory
