Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 (Central Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Neuro ICU (includes PCU and Med-Surg patient care)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/23/2026 – End: 5/25/2026)
• Nursing Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Total Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:3-4
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Float Requirement: May float to other hospital units within the organization

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Med-Surg nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to provide two professional nursing references (one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to neurocritical, PCU, and Med-Surg populations
• Manage patient ratios of 1:3-4, including adult and geriatric patients
• Perform and manage advanced neuro procedures: lumbar drains, EVD monitoring, craniotomy, aneurysm repair, and stroke care
• Administer and titrate cardiac and insulin drips, blood products, and manage IVs, ports, and arterial lines
• Provide tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, telemetry, and participate in rapid response/code teams
• Float to other hospital units as needed within the healthcare organization
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, social services)
• Maintain strict compliance with credentialing and fingerprinting requirements
