Location: Mesquite, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)

Job Description

• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
• Must hold licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by the state
• Required certifications: ARRT-R & CT ARRT
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
• At least 1 year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills required
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment required
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program
• Venipuncture certification (proficient in starting IVs for contrast injections) required

Required Experience

• Years of Specialty Experience: Minimum 1 year (Radiology Technologist, acute clinical radiology experience preferred)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Required Certifications and Compliance

• BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Driver’s License or State ID
• COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• Influenza Vaccine or declination (required seasonally)
• TB Test within 1 year of start date
• Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity
• Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)

Additional Requirements

• National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date (state-specific exceptions apply)
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation)
• Must pass Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
• Must pass Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
• Must complete Prime Skills Checklist
• Resume and 2 professional references required at submission (1 reference must be from a manager or direct supervisor)

Summary

This position is ideal for a licensed X-Ray Technologist with at least 1 year of acute clinical radiology experience, who is certified in ARRT-R and CT ARRT, and holds current BCLS certification. The role requires proficiency with radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, strong anatomy and medical terminology knowledge, and venipuncture skills. The assignment is a 13-week long-term contract with weekday afternoon shifts. Compliance with multiple health and safety certifications and background checks is mandatory.
