CVOR Registered Nurse Job Details

• Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Location: Bethlehem, PA 18015 (Lehigh Valley healthcare jobs)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 6:45am – 7:15pm, 3x12 hour shifts, Monday–Friday
• On-Call: 1–2 nights per week, 1 weekend per month
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekly Pay Rate: 

  $32.70/hr + $1323/wk stipend = $2500/wk gross @ 36 hrs

  Local: $64/hr - $2304/wk gross @ 36 hrs

CVOR RN Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Strong knowledge of thoracic surgery, surgical pathology, pediatric OR/PACU, and sub-acute care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for clinical support
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and weekend shifts

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia teams in complex cardiovascular surgeries
• Monitor patient status, respond promptly to changes in condition, and provide critical care support
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital protocols
• Participate in scheduled on-call shifts and weekend coverage
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
