Job Details – CVOR Surgical Tech Travel Contract

• Location: Saint Louis, MO 63104
• Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center

• End Date: May 25, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (06:00 - 16:30), Monday–Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call: Required
• Orientation: 10 hours

Qualifications – CVOR First Assist Surgical Tech

• At least 1 year of experience as a CVOR Surgical Tech First Assist (Level 1 Trauma experience required)
• NBSTSA and CSFA certifications (Certified Surgical First Assistant) required
• BLS certification required
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• OSHA Respirator Clearance and FIT testing required prior to start
• Must be willing to shave for FIT testing (no exceptions)
• Travelers must reside more than 70 miles from the facility
• First-time travel healthcare professionals welcome

Key Responsibilities – Operating Room Tech

• Assist surgeons in advanced cardiovascular and thoracic procedures (CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, ECMO, and more)
• Operate vein harvesting equipment, Bovie, suction, and sequential machines
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and ensure proper sterilization/disinfection of surgical instruments
• Prepare case carts and crash carts for cardiovascular procedures
• Accurately document equipment usage and surgical procedures
• Support airway management and line insertions as needed
• Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary healthcare team in new surgical suites
• Participate in call rotation as scheduled
