OR Tech Job Details – Salem, VA

• Location: Salem, VA 24153 (Virginia healthcare job)
• Assignment Type: Travel Operating Room Technician
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Shift: 8 Hour Days (06:45 – 15:15)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Unit: Main OR – 11 operating rooms
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Call Requirement: 1 night per week and 1.5 weekends every 8 weeks
• Documentation System: Meditech

Qualifications – Operating Room Tech

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) in a Level II or higher facility
• Proficient in Ortho trauma, Craniotomies, Burr holes, Robotic general surgery (Appy, Lap Chole), Cystoscopies, ENT, and Total Joint procedures
• Advanced skills with DaVinci robots and Ortho trauma procedures
• Current BLS certification required
• CST/ORT certification required

Key Responsibilities – OR Tech Travel Assignment

• Assist surgeons and the operating room team in procedures including Cystoscopy, Lumbar Laminectomy, Total Joints, Robotic general and GYN, ENT, minimal plastic surgeries, and breast surgeries
• Operate and maintain specialized surgical equipment: Hanah Tables, Jackson tables, vascular beds, Cysto beds, and Robot beds
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation using Meditech
• Participate in scheduled call rotations as required
• Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment
