CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: On-site at a hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan (zip 48043)

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist (required)
• Proficiency with Phillips CT equipment (required)
• Previous travel healthcare experience (preferred)
• Current ARRT Certification (required)
• BLS Certification (required)
• Technologist-level certification in Computed Tomography
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform all computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures in a hospital setting
• Operate and monitor advanced CT imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Safely transfer and position patients, utilizing immobilization devices as needed
• Collect patient identification, allergies, and relevant medical history
• Prepare and administer intravenous contrast media as required
• Produce, develop, and store high-quality diagnostic images
• Organize daily patient schedules and collaborate with the hospital imaging team
• Conduct daily calibration and quality control of CT equipment
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and assist in emergency situations, including CPR
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment
• Train and instruct new technologists as needed
• Assist radiologists and physician specialists with specialized imaging procedures
• Review and document patient history and clinical data to support diagnosis
• Participate in departmental quality assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
