- Position: Travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) / Cardiac Cath Lab RN / Interventional Radiology Nurse
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN)

- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 – $2,370
- Setting: Interventional Services — 5 bays, 1 procedure room, 70 licensed beds
- Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, rotating days Monday–Friday (8-hour days)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Call: 1 weeknight per week (4:00 PM–6:00 PM) and rotating weekend call (once per month)
- Charting / Systems: Cerner
- Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
- Perks: Free parking; procedural scrubs provided; no floating required
Qualifications & Requirements (Cath Lab RN)
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in a cardiac cath lab and/or interventional radiology (IR) setting
- Active RN license — state requirements apply for travel assignments (out-of-state or compact licensure may be accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
- Hands-on experience with cardiac catheterization, angiography, and common IR procedures (paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy tubes)
- Experience with procedural sedation, patient monitoring, and post-procedure recovery
- Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in multidisciplinary environments
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
Cath Lab RN Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for cardiac cath and interventional radiology procedures across inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings
- Support all procedure phases: pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedural monitoring, and post-procedure recovery
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation; manage airway and hemodynamic status per protocol
- Perform arterial access site care, hemostasis monitoring, and vascular complication surveillance
- Assist with IR procedures (paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy placement) and cardiac interventions (diagnostic angiography)
- Document patient care and procedures accurately in Cerner; follow safety, infection prevention, and radiation safety guidelines
- Participate in scheduled call rotation and respond to urgent procedural needs as required
- Collaborate with RN supervisor, physicians, technologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
