Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in Med/Surg or related surgical specialties (Thoracic, Surgical Pathology, Sub-Acute, Pediatric PACU/OR)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — compact or Georgia eligible
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Proven ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced outpatient/post-surgical recovery environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for post-surgical patients in the extended recovery (PACU) setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs, pain management, and recovery milestones
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered following facility protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to support timely discharges and patient throughput
• Educate patients and families on recovery, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement standards in the outpatient surgical setting
