Travel X-Ray Tech Contract – Job Details
- Location: Lansing, MI 48912 (on-site)
- Position Type: Travel Contract / Travel Allied Health
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 03/09/2026
- End Date: 06/08/2026
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: 8-hour day shifts (variable start times)
- Shift Hours: Variable start times: 7:00am, 7:30am, or 8:00am
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend
- Call: None
- Floating: No floating to sister facilities
- Systems: Epic (preferred)
- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,740 – $1,870
Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) – Requirements
- Experience: 1+ year recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Technologist (first-time travel techs welcome)
- Trauma: Recent Level I Trauma experience required (hard requirement)
- Certifications: ARRT (R) required; BLS required (AHA preferred)
- Preferred Skills: Surgery/OR support and C-arm procedure experience
- Education: Ability to provide proof of high school-level education (required)
- Scheduling: Weekend rotation required; submit any requested time off during the submittal process
Key Responsibilities – Diagnostic Radiography & Trauma Imaging
- Perform general diagnostic X-ray exams for ED and inpatient units in a high-volume radiology department
- Complete portable/bedside imaging and support urgent trauma workflows with speed, accuracy, and patient-centered care
- Prepare and position patients, verify orders, and ensure optimal image quality and radiation safety in accordance with departmental policies and applicable regulations
- Support procedural imaging as needed (including C-arm when applicable)
- Document exams and maintain efficient workflow using Epic (as applicable)
- Collaborate with radiologists, ED/trauma teams, nursing, and ancillary staff to prioritize time-sensitive imaging
- Maintain equipment readiness and follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
