- Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse
- Location: Canton, GA 30115 (North Metro Atlanta area)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract (On-Site)
- Start Date: March 30, 2026
- End Date: June 27, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,690 – $1,780
- Openings: 1 travel RN
- Specialties: Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Pathology, Sub-Acute, Pediatric OR, Pediatric PACU
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Operating Room RN or in perioperative nursing (intraoperative experience required)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or a Compact RN license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Canton, GA (travel nurse eligibility)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Experience with multi-specialty surgery and pediatric perioperative care preferred
Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery as a travel OR RN
- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment and adhere to surgical safety protocols
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures, including thoracic and pediatric cases
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Document perioperative care accurately and comply with infection control standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
