Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements

• Required Skills: Operate C-arm fluoroscopy, O-arm, and portable radiography units in an operating suite; comfortable assisting with periodic ED portable X-ray coverage
• Certifications: ARRT (Radiography) and BLS
• Core Competencies: Patient positioning and image quality optimization; you will be expected to follow applicable radiation safety practices and department protocols
• Professional Skills: Clear communication, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and perioperative staff

Key Responsibilities (OR / Intraoperative Imaging)

• Provide intraoperative imaging support for surgical procedures using C-arm and O-arm equipment
• Perform portable X-ray exams as needed, including periodic ED portable support
• Prepare imaging equipment and ensure readiness for cases; assist with basic troubleshooting to minimize delays and downtime
• Position patients safely while maintaining comfort, dignity, and optimal image quality
• Follow radiation safety standards and OR/department protocols
• Document exams accurately and communicate effectively to support efficient OR workflow and patient care
