Travel RN opportunity in Fargo, North Dakota (58102) for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) supporting a Med Surg Resource Team/Float Pool in an acute care setting. Deliver high-quality bedside nursing care across multiple med-surg specialty units while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.

- Contract Dates: March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel contract
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 12 hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday.
- Charting/EMR: Epic
- Floating: Float assignments may include med-surg specialty units on the Broadway campus and SMCF campus; South University is rare. May also float to care for med-surg status patients within critical care units as needed.
- Scrubs: Navy blue

Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
- Travel Eligibility: Candidates cannot live within a 60-mile radius of the facility. Candidates living within 80 miles may be considered local.
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted (exception may be considered only if the candidate has prior float pool/resource team experience that closely matches the role).
- RN Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience in a busy acute setting; must be comfortable in a very fast-paced hospital environment (250+ beds); prior experience in a 200+ bed facility and float pool/resource team experience are strongly preferred
- Facility: Trauma Level 1
- License: Active North Dakota RN license or Compact (Multistate) RN license
- Certification: BLS (AHA required)
- EMR: Epic experience required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute environment
- Ability to float across med-surg specialty areas including oncology, general med-surg, trauma med-surg, cardiac, neuro, observation, medical behavioral, innovations, and overflow/status patients
- Must be able to badge in/out per facility process
Med/Surg Float Pool RN Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and ongoing reassessments for acute med-surg patients
- Administer medications safely via multiple routes; monitor for therapeutic response and adverse effects
- Develop, update, and document individualized plans of care in Epic
- Provide wound, line, and drain care; monitor for complications and escalate concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy teams, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient-centered care
- Adapt quickly to daily unit assignments within the float pool and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and patient experience
- Utilize common acute-care equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Accudose Rx, and Philips vital sign machines
