• Shift Length: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Openings: 3 Cardiac Stepdown RN positions available
• On-Call: No call required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130

Job Requirements

• Experience: RN experience in acute care, telemetry, stepdown, cardiac, or related med-surg settings preferred (Telemetry RN / Cardiac Stepdown experience preferred)
• Licensure: Active RN license valid in Vermont (compact/multistate accepted if applicable)
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; PALS or ENPC required for applicable pediatrics—must be active prior to contract start (or course booked by clinical orientation)
• Clinical Skills: Proficient in continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring, ECG rhythm recognition, hemodynamic assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, and accurate documentation
• Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to follow state and federal regulations, facility policies, and nursing best practices; strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) as a Cardiac Stepdown RN / Telemetry RN
• Monitor and manage patients on continuous cardiac telemetry, recognizing arrhythmias and initiating timely interventions per hospital protocols
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac-specific treatments safely and according to physician orders and facility standards
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, documentation, and handoffs to ensure continuity of care across units (PCU, CCU, Med-Surg)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and rehab—to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Assume leadership tasks as needed: delegation, supervision of support staff, and prioritization of patient assignments to maintain safe staffing and quality outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies governing patient care and safety
