• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (travel nurse, traveling RN)
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week — night shift RN
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
• Orientation: 16 hours
• On-Call/Weekend: As needed

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Neuro ICU experience with prior travel assignment, OR 3 years recent Neuro ICU experience without travel
• License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or Compact State (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Travel Experience: At least 1 completed previous travel assignment required unless meeting 3-year Neuro ICU experience requirement
• Education: ADN or BSN accepted (BSN not required for this unit)
• Charting: Cerner experience preferred (electronic medical record experience)
• Distance Requirement: Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (strictly enforced)
• Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Other: All requested time off must be included at submission; must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adult neurocritical patients in the Neuro ICU — critical care nurse / ICU nurse responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and ongoing neuro monitoring
• Administer and titrate critical care medications and infusions per protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate individualized patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner preferred)
• Educate and support patients and families during critical care and recovery
• Float to similar units within a 20-mile radius if needed (rare)
